Words Matter: The Impact of Anti-Immigrant Rhetoric and Policies on Clinicians and Patients
Ahead of the 2024 election, Migrant Clinicians Network launched Words Matter, a campaign to bring light to the health dangers of anti-immigrant political rhetoric. MCN staff shared their own stories of growing up as immigrants in the United States, in the videos below. MCN’s Kaethe Weingarten, PhD, shared data and background materials on how negative rhetoric can be harmful to health through a series of blog posts. In the fall, our Words Matter webinar series will present clinicians with tools and resources to support immigrant and migrant patients’ health through the election and beyond.
Read our article series to go in-depth on why negative rhetoric is a health hazard.
