Friday has arrived! It’s National Farm Safety and Health Week (as you’ll see in the Weekly Win) and we are excited to celebrate and uplift the health needs of migrant and immigrant food and farmworkers who undergird the entire agricultural system and ensure that we have food on our plates. We stand strong for the rights of farmworkers and push hard for their safety and health every day. Thank you, farmworkers!

Claire shared a News Nation article on pregnant asylum seekers, which outlines financial costs to health systems in various parts of the country as well as the personal costs to migrants; as one mother states, “If I would have been pregnant in my country, I would be dead with my baby.” Hundreds of pregnant asylum seekers are provided with case management and lifesaving support from MCN’s Health Network each year, so the statement hits close to home.
