Five on Friday: Children and COVID-19
Five on Friday is a roundup of new research, articles, resources, and more on health justice and migrant health that our MCN team recommends. Here’s this week’s edition:
Amy shared Earth Island Journal’s “Nature Is Trying to Tell Us Something,” which looks at how one physician is trying to “bridge the gap between medicine and the environment.”
Claire recommended the new COVID-19 Testing Communications and Community Engagement Toolkit, which looks ahead to encourage community members to participate in asymptomatic testing.
Del forwarded this interesting graphic from the CDC’s latest MMWR, “COVID-19 Stats: COVID-19 Incidence, by Urban-Rural Classification— United States, January 22–October 31, 2020.”
Kaethe sent along two reports on children during the pandemic, “The State of Young People During COVID-19,” a report from America’s Promise Alliance, and “Children and COVID-19: State Data Report,” a weekly report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association.
Weekly Win: Kaethe shared “Fast Tests for COVID-19 Are Coming,” from the Economist. We can’t wait!
Have a safe and healthy weekend.
