Chronicling Migrant Clinicians Network’s Impact in the New Annual Report

This week, we’re celebrating our 40th anniversary with the release of our new Annual Report, a full-color 28-page deep dive into our impact across the migrant health spectrum. The report chronicles our widespread impact – and highlights the importance of our work as migration increases. Health care access, immigration policies, and anti-immigrant rhetoric will be at the forefront in the coming years, and MCN will actively respond with practical solutions and resources, as we have for 40 years.

The report chronicles several of MCN’s primary efforts, including Health Network’s efforts to provide care coordination to almost 2,000 people last year alone; MCN’s worker health and safety trainings and education; our popular and expanding mental health and well-being efforts; and our climate response. Throughout the report, spotlights feature the stories of people whom we served through these efforts, as well as several donors on why they support MCN.

“I worked at Kroger’s for over 45 years in the Fresh Produce area. The more I learned about how all the produce that I loaded off the trucks got here, the more I felt sorry for the workers making it all possible. We make a mistake to take the fresh fruits and veggies for granted. I decided to donate regularly to an organization that provides direct support to the hard-working migrants in this country, wherever they are from. Migrant Clinicians Network was the obvious choice,” said regular donor Jeff Bruneau.

“MCN has grown and matured into an impactful and award-winning national leader in migrant health, as you will see in the many successes chronicled in this report,” notes Kim Nolte, MPH, Chief Executive Officer of Migrant Clinicians Network, in her opening letter for the report. Nolte emphasizes the importance of donors and advocates to make our work possible, adding, “Together, we will continue fighting for health justice and equity through our innovative programs, trainings, and technical assistance.”
