As coronavirus rapidly advances around the world, we struggle to keep up with the headlines. It’s difficult to shift gears to give focus to other health topics of concern, when coronavirus has quickly become a top public health emergency. Yet, we at MCN continue to receive really exciting new resources and information that can be useful in our work in health justice -- and so we will continue with Five on Friday to offer up items we think you might find of use in your work.

Jillian offered up Farmworker Justice’s new Juntos Nos Movemos resource, which includes a curriculum, trainer’s guide, worksheet, and more, to encourage agricultural worker families to be more active to prevent childhood obesity.

Candace shared this two-page resource that summarizes current CHW research: “Community Health Workers: Evidence of Their Effectiveness.”

Laz, one of MCN’s runners with a few marathons under his belt, sent around, “After Achieving the Trials Standard, DACA Resident Learns He Can’t Compete in Atlanta.”
