Norma Gonzalez, LMT, brings a wealth of professional experience and a deep personal understanding of health care challenges to her role as a Health Network Associate. Originally from Sonora, Mexico, Gonzalez immigrated to the United States in 2001, settling with her family in San Luis, Arizona. Growing up in a migrant farmworker family, with her father laboring in the fields for much of his life, Gonzalez gained firsthand insights into the tireless efforts of this workforce and their unique needs. She integrates her background into her work at MCN.
In her capacity at MCN, Gonzalez serves a diverse range of patients, encompassing prenatal care, HIV, TB, cancer, diabetes, and various other health conditions. Notably, her recent focus has been on prenatal care, where she excels in providing bilingual and bicultural comprehensive case management, bilingual translation services, and adeptly guiding patients through the intricacies of the health care system.
Gonzalez's professional journey began with her graduation from Arizona Western College in 2013, earning an Associate's degree in Applied Science as a licensed massage therapist. Her career evolved as she shifted from message therapy, getting a job as a physical therapy technician from 2014 to 2018. Relocating to Austin after her marriage, she joined MCN, showcasing her versatility and commitment to improving health care access and outcomes. After moving back to Arizona, she continues to work remotely with MCN.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Gonzalez nurtures her artistic side through hobbies such as painting, and enjoys shopping. Her multifaceted talents and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable asset to both MCN and the broader health care community she serves.
