Avian Flu
Avian influenza, also known as bird flu or H5N1, arrived on dairy farms across the United States in 2024. Workers on dairies and poultry farms have been diagnosed with and treated for Avian flu this year.
As always, we have our eye toward the health and well-being of the workers, seeking to provide clinicians who serve these workers up-to-date and useful information, so they can best equip workers in the early stages to prevent further spread and to answer questions to reduce fear and confusion.
