Picture This: A Photovoice Project

Picture This / Imagínate esto is a Photovoice project that is currently working with a combined youth and adult cohort of the Latino population of three rural northern California counties: Butte, Glenn, and Tehama to create a photographic representation of the impact of COVID on daily living. The evocative imagery and narrative captured by the Picture This/Imagínate esto participants provide critical insight into living with COVID-19, including the barriers to vaccination and strategies to overcome these challenges. The work will be especially powerful because it comes directly from community members using art and narrative to tell a more profound story. Watch this space for downloadable posters and other educational materials developed by the participants in this project to shed light on challenges brought about by COVID-19 as well as ways to overcome those challenges.
