MCN Giving Tuesday
“I was enrolled with Health Network when I was very sick. Health Network greatly reduced my stress by coordinating my treatment before I arrived in a new state. Before being enrolled, I had no clue how to get the treatment I needed [in the U.S.].”
This is a quote from Naomi, a woman with TB and HIV, who was enrolled in Health Network when she told her doctor she was returning to Africa. Health Network staff found her a clinic in Africa so she could remain in care and complete TB treatment. Once TB-free, she returned to the US where Health Network staff transferred her medical records and found her clinics to provide HIV care. This is what Health Network does- acts as a bridge between locations, making sure patients have appointments as well as transportation to get there.
This year, on November 28, we're asking you to invest in health by making a donation to support Health Network or one of our other focus areas, including our efforts in Puerto Rico and in supporting our collective voice through our advocacy work. Together we have made great strides and with your continued support we can do even more. Whether it’s getting a patient care, communicating with a clinician in Puerto Rico to help them post-Maria, or speaking up for those who are often not heard, your donation, no matter how big or small, makes all of this possible.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

How can I help?
There are three ways you can support MCN on #GivingTuesday:
To create a fundraiser for a charitable organization on Facebook, follow these steps:
- Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed
- Click Raise Money
- Select Nonprofit/Charity.
- Select a charitable organization, choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details - make sure you share why donating to MCN is important to you. Use the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #MCN in your description!
- Click Create
- Invite all your friends to the fundraiser and encourage them to share it on their page!
