40 Years of Health Justice for Migrants and Immigrants – Time to Celebrate!
In 2024, Migrant Clinicians Network is celebrating its 40th anniversary! We hope you will celebrate with us by voicing your MCN story, sharing a favorite MCN resource or webinar, and donating $40, $400, or even $4000 to recognize the great work that MCN has done on behalf of migrant and immigrant families and communities, and the amazing clinicians who serve them!
MCN’s Story
In 1984, three dedicated clinicians met at the Migrant Health Conference in Padre Island. The three clinicians, from different parts of the country, shared a sense of personal isolation and dismay at the lack of migrant-specific resources available to clinicians. The following year, they formed Migrant Clinicians Network, a grassroots clinical network consisting of clinicians dedicated to improved health care for people who, because they are moving, are at risk to be lost to follow-up.
