Peggy Finster, Esq., SHRM-SCP (she/her) is an experienced lawyer who has held senior legal and human resources roles in-house at several public companies. Prior to working as in-house counsel, Finster was an Associate in the Labor and Employment Groups at the top-tier law firms of Morgan Lewis and Skadden Arps. Finster is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where she focused on employment law and workplace equity. During law school, she was a Human Rights Fellow at the Center for the Administration of Justice in Northern Ireland. Finster also did Master’s work in Women Studies at Georgia State University and received a BA with honors in English Literature and Economics with a minor in Women Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. Finster has three children and lives in New York City. Her personal connection to immigration in the United States is through her grandfather, who emigrated from Germany through Ellis Island when he was young. Finster has done pro bono work at New York City's Asylum Application Help Center, assisting immigrants in completing applications for asylum.
