BioCarmen Retzlaff, MPH is a partner in Community Health Education Concepts (CHEC), a co–faciliating agency with MCN for the HepTalk project. Carmen is the HepTalk project coordinator, her business partners Kath Anderson and Claire Loe coordinate the training and evaluation components of the project, respectively. Carmen and the other members of CHEC bring a wealth of related experience to the project, including work in clinic site assessment, clinic forms design, risk assessment effectiveness, training, and materials development. CHEC is a small woman–owned public health education consulting company. CHEC partners describe themselves as “affordable public health guns for hire,” and work with a variety of not–for–profit agencies to bring good public health practice to the frontlines in community&ndahs;based projects.
